Run Buddies Club Pune debuted the one of a kind Monsoon Marathon series this year. Spread over four legs in exquisite and untouched locations around Maharashtra, as the state received the much awaited rains post the dreadful droughts, this was an a celebration to savour for everyone. Matheran topped the list in difficulty and the uniqueness of the course.

Coming down the hill through the grasslands makes for the fastest part of the race for the pelotons. Rocky trail and no stops all the way till they hit the rock bottom of the hill.

Event: SPICE COAST MARATHON KOCHI.
From the ancient spice capital of India, Kerala, the second edition of the Spice Coast Marathon, put one more beautiful destination marathons on the nation's map, a challenging journey through the town of Kochi, bringing to the runners the history and along with it nostalgia.
The support never stopped.
EVENT: BBCH 100 KILOMETERS ROAD RACE, BANGALORE.
100 kilometers on road, going fast, very fast isn't for everyone, end of story.

Venue: KUNDLAIKA RIVER MARATHON.
By the ghats of river Kundalika, a route that saw almost everyone struggle with their own demons. For some it was the heat, for others the route. A grand test of endurance for everyone and an achievement for those who finished.

Event: COIMBATORE DUSK MARATHON.
Enough emphasis was laid by the organizers in the event descriptions for the runners to keep themselves hydrated from the day prior to the marathon. Measures taken or not, in route hydration was a necessity for the most.For a few however, it was just another day at work.

Venue: DURSHET FOREST MARATHON.
Another chapter from the Monsoon Marathon series. Monsoon soaked Shayadris, river Amba running parallel to the route, waterfalls formed on almost every mountain face, a tribal village with an ancient lifestyle to make your first world problems like no internet connectivity seem ludicrous, the experiences were in every step of the 32 kilometers route to savor.

Event: KUNDLAIKA RIVER MARATHON.
After the most arduous starting 5 kilometers of a marathon that most of the runners would have ever experienced, paired with the extreme heat of the river side course, what greeted the survivors was a route showered with flowers, literally.
You must die once to see the paradise.
